OULTC were busy in BUCS this week all across the country with a total of 8 matches! There were 3 wins, 3 draws and just 2 losses.

Starting with the victories, M1 beat Cardiff 2s away 4-2 with Cameron Bowieensuring the win with his stunning singles performance. W3 convincingly beat UEA 1s 12-0 with some fab singles scores all around as well as Ellie Mcdonald and Ella Glover winning their doubles in a championship tiebreak to get the clean sweep! M3 also recorded an amazing 12-0 win against Coventry 2s. Leonhard Hochfilzer played especially well- dealing his opponent a double bagel!

M2 drew 6-6 against UEA away with all players putting in a good fight. Casper and Andrew Grassick won their doubles in a championship tiebreak as did Chris Grassick in his singles match. Also credit to Eloy who stepped in last minute from M3 and just lost his doubles with Chris in yet another third set tiebreak! Check the pictures below to see them stopping off at the Grassick household to refuel on the long drive back! W2 drew 6-6 against Warwick 2s at home. Everyone played very well especially considering UEA brought a stronger team than when they had previously met! M4 had another extremely close draw against UEA 6-6. Both doubles matches went to a third set with each team winning one. Shoutout to Claas who was a break down in each of his two singles sets but won both 6-4! Andrew Unsworth also 'freakin smashed it' according to his team mates, winning both his matches.

W1 sadly lost 0-12 against Nottingham 1s in what was the Championship match. Mary Strevens played particularly well, pushing her opponent to a tough tiebreak in the second set. W4 also sadly lost 2-4 to Brookes but Gabby Turner helped her team by winning both her singles and doubles!

PLAYER OF THE WEEK Leonhard from M3 for his aforementioned stunning singles win!
