Our Mission

We believe tennis should be enjoyed by everyoneThrough our Social Tennis Program we run 6 hours of coached sessions every week throughout the year for players of all standards on our new artificial clay and grass courts at Iffley Sports Centre. 

What we offer


  • Free use of our 4 newly resurfaced artificial clay courts all year round at Iffley Road.

  • Free use of 6 grass courts at Iffley in summer terms.

  • Access to rackets and balls to borrow for free when playing at Iffley.


  • 8 hours of coached sessions and an additional 3 hours of guided sessions per week for all standards: Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced

  • Access to the members page with resources on tennis tips and tricks. 


  • Possibility to enter in social tennis and club-wide leagues and club championships.

  • Entry into the Wimbledon ballot (with a good chance of getting a ticket!) 


  • Invitation to OULTC whole club social events (these might be restricted due to Covid).

  • We have a full term card with covetable socials every Wednesday. OULTC has a vibrant social scene with a strong community and turn out to all social events.

  • Past events have included: attendance at the Sports Ball, Vinny's Karaoke nights, Crew dates, Crazy golf, Oú est le poule, Pub golf, College Bar Crawls and much much more!

When is Social Tennis


Note that sessions are by registration only


Coaching sessions:

  • Mondays ~ 12-1pm

  • Wednesdays ~ 5-6pm

  • Saturdays ~1-2pm

Supervised Match Play:

  • Thursday ~ 5-6pm ~ guided by our UTC Chris and/or Coach Jay where possible


Coaching sessions:

  • Mondays ~ 1-2pm

  • Wednesdays - 5-7pm

  • Saturday 1-3pm

 Match Play:

  • Thursday ~ 6-7pm ~ guided by our UTC Chris and/or Coach Jay where possible

  • Wednesdays - 6-7pm

  • Saturday 2-3pm

 Match Play:

  • Thursday ~ 7-8pm ~ guided by our UTC Chris and/or Coach Jay where possible
