After winning Varsity narrowly the previous year, W2 knew it would be a challenging weekend facing Cambridge. With a strong team of 7 led by the amazing captain Alex Reyner we set out to play some high quality tennis, but Cambridge turned out to be the stronger team and left us in defeat of 17-4.
Despite the overall score, most matches were incredibly close, featuring some very close 3 set tiebreaks and some excellent tennis. Charlotte Feldhof was the star of the weekend as she came back in her singles from 2-5 in her second set and proceeded to win the match in the third set. She also stayed undefeated the entire weekend. Special mention also goes to Innes who flew back all the way from America to play some fantastic tennis.
Congratulations to everyone for playing some amazing tennis and for making W2 such a great team: Jaime, Fenella, Celina, Alex, Charlotte, Innes and Katie Baston (who will be missed lots next year!). We will be back stronger next year and look forward to shoeing the tabs on home turf.
